Q: I’m new to IoT One, how do I get started?
A: Welcome aboard! Every new customer is required to fill our online application. Here you’ll go through our Terms and Conditions and we can start building your customer profile. Once received, your dedicated Account Manager will contact you to start your IoT journey with us.
Q: When I receive my sim cards, how do I activate them?
A: It’s all done for you! Your services will activate as soon as you start using them. Not before. Your Account Manager will send your services in ‘test ready’ mode. Once you receive them, you’re ready to plug and play.
Q: How do I deactivate a service?
A: Very simple. You can manage all your services from our Control Centre.
This gives you full control of any deactivations. If you’re not able to access your Control Centre, your Account Manager will be there to help. You can move this service back to Active mode when you’re ready.
Q: Can I SMS to and from my services?
A: A very common question – All SMS received by your service are at no charge. Any SMS from the service is charged at .15c each.
Q: Are the services contracted?
A: Not in any which way. We don’t believe in them. We want you to innovate and lead the Australian IoT charge and we understand that with innovation comes flexibility.
Q: Do I get a random person every time I need to speak to you?
A: You’re a business, not a number to us. You will have a dedicated IoT Account Manager who will understand you and your business, giving you customised advice and help when desired.
Q: Do I get a Static IP address?
A: We highly recommend you do! This keeps you and your data safe. This can be fully maintained through the Control Centre. There is no charge for a static IP as we believe it’s essential to the privacy of your data.
Q: How will I be billed for my services?
A: All services are billed one month in advance and then monthly thereafter via invoice. Payment terms are 7 days from date of invoice.
